Future Network Scenarios, Strategies and Roadmaps For Low Carbon

Electricity networks live in a complex dynamic and adaptive world. The low carbon shift can follow many different pathways with huge impacts on the network needed to support these. Understanding scenarios and pathways faced with radical uncertainty are key to creating opportunity and managing future regrets.

Working with networks we map possible futures, heatmap pathways and assess possible outcomes to then shape strategy. As we enter a highly uncertain world of DERs, flexibility and potentially very divergent future load scenarios, we understand the nature of uncertainties and set in place projects, pilots, dashboards, triggers and low regret investments.

With our partners projects range across strategy, residential flexibility, integrating PV/ EVs (or other transition scenarios),  automation, experimental learning, energy hardship and behaviour change and leveraging real time data (e.g. high resolution weather and integration to decision systems, LV network data).
